| A Salute To Our Fallen Comrades Gone But Not Forgotten Greater Love Hath No Man Than This |

| In Loving Memory Until We Meet Again |
| 2 Samuel 12:22-23 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live? [23] But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. |
| It is a terrible thing to loose a loved one, but it is even harder to loose one's own child in war time. While our sons, daughters and loved ones are gone from home, not knowing if we will ever see them again or not, we pray, fast, seek God's face and ask others to pray while they are away. If for some reason it isn't meant to be for us to get them back, we must follow David's example and do our best to go on with life and comfort those about us. We never forget them. They are always living in our hearts and minds. We can keep them alive in the hearts and minds of all by doing something in their memory, and as David said, we can't bring them back to us, but we have the hope of seeing them again some day. I lost my brother-in law in the Vietnam War and some of my closest friends who were in the boy scouts with me in the early 60s. I can remember sitting outside my barracks and reading about their death in a letter from my Scoutmaster, Mr. Dave Wear. All I could do was sit their holding my letter and cry. I want to dedicate these pages to my brother-in law, my friends who were in the scouts with me and to Jonathan Etterling who was killed in Iraq, who was from Wheelersburg. If you have a loved one or friend who was killed while in the military or who has since passed and you would like to have their picture placed on our memorial pages, like these below, send us their picture. We will need a self addressed envelope and stamp to return your picture. {Send a small donation to help further our work for our homeless, needy veterans and others.} We will need their name, rank, branch of service, and dates they were in the service. Remember, don't give up on life, do as David did, work until the Lord comes. Comfort one another and keep their memories alive. We have a hope of seeing them again one day. John D. | Comments To A Hero We had the honor and privilege to have US Marine L/cpl Kyle Price as a wonderful friend. Kyle gave the "ultimate sacrifice" for you, me and the rest of this country while on guard duty in Iraq. I pray that it wasn't in vain or taken for granted all of our hero's that have fought and continue to fight for our Wonderful & free country. Marine L/cpl Kyle Price was only 19 yrs. old and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his daughter "Madie", he was to have returned home next month. There is NO way to try to describe the outpouring of love and support for this beloved hero. Farewell to our loved one, we will meet again one day and still be ever so proud as we watch you serve in the Lord's army!! Semper Fi, In moving memory of our fallen hero L/cpl Kyle Price. We will NEVER forget You or Your beliefs. |
