Martin Luther King!
There are all types of reasons to volunteer for Veterans
Helping Veterans & Others.  In memory of a loved one,
a special holiday, or just because you have nothing to
do and what better reason than just doing it because
you have a heart for needy veterans & their friends.

The students from Shawnee State University
volunteered their time all day on Saturday in memory
of Martin Luther King, another one of America's hero's.

This isn't the only time students from SSU volunteered
to work at the thrift store, they have done it a few other
times in the past.

It seems to be habit forming, once you volunteer and
you see what V.H.V.O. is all about you want to keep
coming back to help.
This young lady told us that
they were volunteering in
memory of Martin Luther King.
This lady is Cathy Messer, our store
manager.  She is our volunteer who
keeps the store operating.
This young man volunteers every
chance he gets.  He is a good boy.
Thank you SSU for all you do.  You not
only help young people further their
education to better themselves, but you
teach them the importance of helping
others in their time of need and the
value of friendship.

Our veterans have sacrificed so
much to keep us all safe and free.
Some have given the ultimate
sacrifice.

They were there for us when we
needed them and we should be
there for them when they need us.

You can go above and beyond the
call by becoming a volunteer in
V.H.V.O.
