| At the end of life's road will your treasure chest be full of what you wanted out of life, or will it be empty and bare. Will you leave your mark on life that you can be proud of, or will you be just another person passing through with no purpose in life? |
| If there was one thing Jonathan wasn't it was a quitter. Every- thing he set out to do he finished it, no matter what it was or how hard it may be. He may not have been the best man on the football team, but he put all he had into it. He may not have been a preacher in his church, but he worked his hardest for the Lord. When Jonathan was just a small child out playing army and shooting up the neighborhood, he was bound and determined to be a solder in the military some day fighting for his country. Turns out that he wanted to be the best, he wanted to be a Marine after he graduated high school. He knew he had to have high grades to enlist in the Marines and he made up his mind that he was going to do it. He looked even further down the road and he wanted to attend collage after he was finished fighting for his country. He knew if he wanted anything out of life, he needed a collage education in what ever he set out to do. As we all know, he didn't get that chance. He was KIA in Iraq in 2005 along with several other friends while on a mission. Though Jonathan will never see the inside of a collage, his Memorial Scholarship will send someone deserving in his place. Jonathan would be proud to know that someone would be furthering their education by attending collage in memory and in honor of him. |
