| On behalf of our homeless, needy veterans and others in need, we thank you. Because of your support, backing and prayers, Veterans Helping Veterans & Others was able to help over 900 needy people this Christmas. At least 300 food baskets were given out and more than 200 toys were given to needy children to help make their Christmas complete. Sixty veterans and their families, over 200 in all, were honored with a nice hot Christmas Dinner and all the trimmings. Our veterans lined the front of the auditorium at New Life Family Worship Center as special medallions were placed around each of the veteran's neck on a red, white and blue ribbon. On the backs of the medallions were engraved, Thanks for serving - V.H.V.O. - 12/07. Santa and his elf were on hand for pictures and to give out treats to the children. After the dinner our veterans were given food baskets and toys to take home for the children. Covered dishes were sent home to those veterans who were not able to attend. Due to the lack of finances we were not able to have our annual three night Christmas Dinner for the needy. Hopefully we will be in better financial condition next Christmas so we can have our dinner. We salute all those who gave their time, support, backing and prayers to make this year's Christmas Program possible. You are, "Living With A Cause |
